Sem Sidenote: Campus Challenge 06

So a few people pointed me to the campus challenge promotional video this year and alas, I was on it, rambling this blurb about worshipping together as southern ontarians. I guess I wanted to post something here to encourage some people who are still thinking whether or not to go to CC.
I will give you a few reasons, ranging from deep to downright shallow... but I hope the deep wins ;)
1. Go to Campus Challenge if you care about Jesus being reached to the students on your campus.
In my 5 years going to CC, I was challenged each time to share Christ with the students on my campus. There TONS of students on your campuses who do not know Jesus... AND... there are TONS of students who have been touched by His gracious Love and need to grow in His word and feel the love of His body... YOU!!!
2. Go to Campus Challenge to pick up...
...
...
new thoughts, new ideas, fresh ministry teachings that will help encourage and improve your A/CCF.
What BETTER place than this conference to listen to other fellow bros and sis in Christ share about their struggles and their joys in ministry. Don't forget most of the people coming to CCF care deeply about their campus ministry and are probably leaders or "going-to-be" leaders. The CC committee has made very conscious efforts to provide the BEST workshop leaders and speaker to share the Word and many practical means for your fellowships to push ahead.
3. Campus Challenge is a means of rest and retreat for over-burdened leaders.
TAKE TIME TO SPEND WITH GOD ALONE!!! You will not regret it!
4. Campus Challenge is a time to worship with other campus fellowship people who are going through the same JUNK you are going through!
Worship together. Pray Together. Find out about the Lord's will together. Together.
5. CC is a place to see small groups in action.
At CC, you can see some of your small group leaders take the leadership mantle and teach you a thing or two about leadership. Either that or you can see the mistakes of leadership (harharhar)
6. CC will definitely challenge you to OWN your fellowship.
Not in the way of a possesive way, but in a way in which you will see a purpose in taking ownership of your fellowship, regardless of the leadership position and realize, we are all part of a greater body of Jesus Christ. We are His followers, loved by Him, to love others. Blessed by Him to be a Blessing to others.
At CC, I hope y'all will be engaged in your thinking, in your feelings, in your perception and be transformed by the renewing of your mind. So in conclusion, I ask you to go because it has been a blessing in my life and it will continue to be a blessing to others.
This is not about solely about A/CCF, this is not solely about CC, this is about the followers of Jesus Christ, finding a common footing, meeting together, and being changed for His glory at York, Western, Waterloo, Queens, UT, etc etc etc.

Hope you'll taste that salt! ;)
